My look has changed and I'm a little bit freaking out on it. You can't see pictures till I have something worth showing. I got a haircut today, and styled and dyed it. I think I'm happy with the results. In addition, glasses will now be a night-time phenomenon, and during the day, these babies will be aiding my failing eyes: contacts.
It was very difficult to get the prescription right, as you have to factor in my slightly worse eye, my slight astigmatism, the period of adjustment, the need to make a contact prescription lower than the glasses because they are closer to the eyes, and the sorry state of contacts only coming in 1/2 sizes rather than the prescription I was written, 625/625 (a quarter step). A Rainy Day
Finally, finally! We have been getting some rain.

Every now and then I'm able to evoke the quality of our camera in my photos (that is to say there must be someone else behind that lens) - this was one of those times. Which is good, because it shows me that I'm not stuck in a sea of fuzzy pics forever - with the help of a nice little camera, I can get better!

I buzzed around our front yard, trying to capture this vague concept of "rain."
The water filled the canals between trees in our yard. I wanted to show the drops, but apparently you can't do this very well when there are few ripples.
